Larkin with Toads Annual Report

The Toads installation was to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the death of poet Phillip Larkin and was part of a mass arts event in Hull. The annual report tells the story of this fascinating project, from the initial idea, and the support of the businesses who took the leap to make the project happen, to the artists and organisations who created the spectacular project, to the delight and suprise when the beautiful Toads hit the streets and won the hearts of residents and visitors alike. Human Design had been involved in this project from it’s inception and annual report was the final piece of work in what had been a 2 year commission. Over this period we designed everything from brochures, guides and maps to design and implementation of 2 websites.
This project won the prestigious White Rose Award for the Tourism Event of the Year.
